How does it work
Dihydroxyatone (DHA) is a sugar solution and the active ingredient that reacts with the amino acids in the outer layer of the skin to produce a golden brown colour when it is sprayed onto your skin. The guide colour will then be washed off 8-10 hours later to reveal your actual tan. It will last around 7 days depending on your skin and skin care regime. It can be prolonged by moisturizing daily with Sienna X Radiance Body Balm and using Sienna X gradual glowing self tan, Dark glowing self tan, Mousse or Tanning Mist can top up your tan after a few days.
Before Your Spray Tan
Exfoliate regularly especially the night before your Spray tan. Wax/Shave at least 24 hours before, if not longer. Do not moisturise or use deodorant or perfume on the day of your Spray tan. Wear loose dark clothing after your tan. If you have sensitive skin it is advisable to have a patch test.
After your Spray Tan
Leave the tan to develop for at least 8-10 hours. Avoid exercise or getting wet in the development time. Long baths or going swimming will fade your tan quicker. Moisturise daily to prolong your tan. Hands and face fade sooner, but you can top up with tanning products. Exfoliate after 4-5 days to encourage even fading.
